Terms of service
Last updated 14 September 2026. Applies to natiq.studio.
These terms govern your use of natiq.studio, a text to speech service for Algerian Darija operated by natiq.studio. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the service.
1. The service
natiq.studio converts text you submit into a synthetic audio recording using a speech model and a
fixed set of reference voices. Output is delivered as a WAV file through the web Studio and the REST
API at /api/v1/.
The service is provided as it is. Synthetic speech is approximate by nature: pronunciation, intonation and pacing can be wrong, and we do not promise that a given clip will be usable for a given purpose. Listen to the audio before you publish it.
2. Accounts
- You must give a working email address and confirm it before you can generate audio.
- You are responsible for everything done through your account, including by your API keys.
- One person or organisation, one account. Opening extra accounts to collect the free token grant more than once is a breach of these terms, and the service actively detects it.
- You must be old enough to enter a contract under the law of Algeria, or have the consent of a parent or guardian.
3. Tokens and payment
Generation is paid for in tokens. One successful clip costs a fixed number of tokens, published on the pricing page and in the API documentation. Tokens are credited when a payment is confirmed by the payment gateway.
- Tokens have no cash value and cannot be transferred between accounts or exchanged for money.
- Tokens do not expire while the account is open.
- A generation that fails for a technical reason is refunded in tokens automatically.
- Prices are in Algerian dinars and may change. A change never affects tokens already bought.
Billing details are in the refund and billing policy.
4. Your content and the audio you generate
You keep ownership of the text you submit. Subject to these terms and to the acceptable use policy, you may use the audio you generate for any lawful purpose, including commercially, without paying anything further.
You grant natiq.studio the limited right to process your text and store the resulting audio for as long as it takes to run the service, which is described in the privacy policy. Your text is not used to train models without your separate consent.
You confirm that you hold the rights to the text you submit and that generating speech from it does not break the law or anyone else's rights.
5. The reference voices
The voices belong to natiq.studio or are licensed to it. You may use the audio they produce. You may not extract, redistribute or reuse the reference recordings themselves, and you may not use the output to train a competing speech model.
6. Acceptable use
The acceptable use policy is part of these terms. Impersonation, fraud, harassment and unlawful content are prohibited there, and breaking those rules Fraud, harassment and unlawful content are prohibited there, and breaking those rules is grounds for suspension.
7. Availability and limits
We do not promise a specific uptime. The service can be interrupted for maintenance, for capacity reasons, or because a dependency such as the payment gateway is down. Rate limits protect capacity for everyone and are published in the API documentation.
We may change, suspend or retire a feature. If a change removes something you have already paid for, unused tokens remain usable for the rest of the service or are refunded under the refund policy.
8. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by writing to support@natiq.studio. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that is used for fraud or abuse, or that we are required to close by law. Where the closure is our decision and you have not broken these terms, unused tokens are refunded on the terms in the refund policy.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, natiq.studio is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for lost profit or lost data, or for how you use the audio you generate. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under the law of Algeria.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do. If a change materially reduces your rights, we will tell you by email at least fourteen days before it takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the new version.
11. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law of Algeria, and the courts of Algeria have jurisdiction. Write to support@natiq.studio first: most disputes are settled faster that way.
